Re: Reset

Yes, to trying all the above :( It's been a difficult time for graduates (and wannabe graduates) - hopefully things will start to pick up again now.

I can't believe it's still just you and me on...

Re: Reset

Re: Reset

Looks like it's just you and me, Sparkly one, so you have a duty to respond now. I hope that pressure isn't too bad.

Jeez at your degree. Eldest Dreamy has just completed his civil engineering...

Re: Off topic Political Posts moved from Coronavirus thread

If I have a ginormous plate of carbs, my plasma glucose level would not be under the "normal level" of 8mmol/l after 2 hours.
My glucose tolerance test result would still put me firmly in diabetic...

Re: Off topic Political Posts moved from Coronavirus thread

I've had Type 2 diabetes for 11 years and still don't need medication for it, it's managed with diet (carbohydrate control) and exercise. When my mother-in-law was diagnosed, she was put straight on...

Re: CORONAVIRUS PART II

I made all of ours to be "around the head" rather "around ear" - I've found that altering the height of the top elastic around my head alleviates spectacle fogging. I do have a smaller nose though -...

Re: CORONAVIRUS PART II

I'm in the middle of my second assignment about faecal microbiota transplants (well, technically the first one was about faecal analysis and personalised nutrition, but same science) - I know more...

Re: What made you smile today? Part III

The Bay of Biscay crossing is the only time I've been seasick on a ferry. Ever.

I have terrible motion sickness, but ferries and boats have never bothered me. Apart from that trip. Jeez it was...

Re: Vodafone PAYG

Can confirm that ALDI is excellent - never-ending rollover of data, free calls to a number of countries and use of the Telstra network, so we even get coverage here in the Blue Mountains. That was...

Re: Bring back 'The Stocks'

Re: CORONAVIRUS PART II

My MIL got her appointment earlier this week for next week - she lives in Warrington, was offered Manchester, Macclesfield or Widnes as options (so obviously took Widnes). She's just relieved to be...

Re: Delivery problems...

We don't normally have any issues with deliveries here - we get so many and know all the drivers that they just beep their horns, wave at us and leave it by the gate.

We don't normally have any...

Re: Deprivation and poverty...

Re: Deprivation and poverty...

Items - 1L semi-skimmed milk, 425g can chilli, 340g can corned beef, 2 x 400g vegetable soup, 2 x...
