Re: UK nurse moving to Canada

My qualifications are yet to be transferred. I hope to hear around February 2019 how I can become registered. I already know it will involve some courses at college.
My PR came through in May 2018,...

Re: UK nurse moving to Canada

We originally looked at Nova Scotia but then decided to start off somewhere bigger where I could nurse in different places. In all honesty, I don't fancy sitting all the exams again, I certainly am...

Re: UK nurse moving to Canada

So I got a letter from CNO before I went on holiday last week, they haven't said much other than I need to do the following and then they will assess my application:

Re: UK nurse moving to Canada

I don't disagree however I can't work there if I am not registered with CNO. So surely I need to be registered first before I can apply.
I've been in nights so I'll check out your link when I get a...

Re: UK nurse moving to Canada

Ah right ok. My NNAS is non comparable though so there's no chance I'll be able to just pitch up and get registered. Apparently CNO have sent me a letter detailing the process to registration which...

Re: UK nurse moving to Canada

To be fair, I have already completed NNAS and would need to go back to apply for NS. I don't have the money to do this right now nor the time to wait. Our visa will be issued in the next couple of...

Re: UK nurse moving to Canada

That's good advice but we are already committed to Ontario & I've already applied to CNO. I've never worked in adults so I'm fully expecting the exams and bridging course. CNO emailed me today and...

Re: UK nurse moving to Canada

Thanks so much for the advice, I did know it was an open book but figured I wouldn't have the time to search for answers and finish in time. I'll definitely recruit some friends to help out. Good to...
