I'm not sure your logic is correct, Fiz.
When Oz rates are 6% or more on term deposits or 3.5% on savings, surely you wouldn't want t keep money in your jersey account for more than a day....

We posted our 143 visa application off to Perth (as Fiz suggested) last Friday and it's arrived today thanks to DHL... collected from Ledbury, then via Bristol, East Midlands airport, Heathrow, DHL...

This is how I understand it too.
The tricky thing is deciding when to sell the house, possessions, etc so that you can book your flight for 18 months time.
