1. Offer a government co-contribution to local council for new dwellings, perhaps matching local rates for 3 to 5 years. Alternatively cap council...

Net gain for the month of January 2018 was 8577, up 1.6% compared to January last year.

131,600 migrant arrivals and 61,600 departures in the year to December 2017. So net is still 70,000.

So plenty of hot air from the current government but no changes noted to date. Visa presses...

No chance, the way I figure it they either need to build approx. 3 time more houses or cut net migration by a two thirds to balance supply and demand on this single source. That said we have yet to...

As far as I'm aware New Zealand doesn't have a population growth strategy which in part may explain why infrastructure spending has so painfully lagged demand. However I actually disagree with your...

- GDP as an aggregate is increasing as New Zealands population has grown.
- GDP measured on a per capita fell slightly last quarter but has grown over the last 5 years as people have worked more...
