Sounds like we grew up in the same part of the country. The water did change a bit when they stopped using the spring water and used reservoir water. It used to take me a little while to get use to...

The PNW allows zero phosphates in dishwasher and laundry detergents, not sure about the UK and Europe.

In the UK dishwashers have a salt compartment to make the water softer. I have never seen US dishwashers with this option.

OK, as I get told I make bad decisions. Typical problem, having new roof, contractor cant read instructions. They used regular staples instead of plastic capped staples on the deck protection.

Hopefully new roof should be complete by end of the week. I wish the contractors hadn't thrown all the gutter guards in the trash. That's another $300 or so to spend out.

Use a glass cutter and score the glass , and remove it in bits. The other option use a drill attach a piece of ply with toggle bolts , then cut the mirror out. But it sounds liek you have the problem...

The return period was 30 days, unfortunately that has now gone. Now it's wait for it to explode and get it repaired or replaced. Now I wish I had bought a cheaper washer.

I always take a spare flashlight when in the crawl space just in case the batteries fail. One of the failures of lithium batteries is they just stop working instead of slowly getting weaker.

You can also sometimes use the circuit breaker detective to follow the wiring in the walls until you find the break.

Just another thought if this was at the end of the circuit, maybe the wire has...

I had one socket where the wiring on the outlet wasn't secure and for whatever reason it stopped working. I took the outlet attached the wire and all was fine. Lucky I didn't have a fire.
