I hear ya. The consulates always say that they recommend you do any application in your home country and of course ANY application is its own beast, depending on your situation but also the official...

I thought I'd go for the USCIS renewal and preferred that, but I ran into a problem with my HR dept. They were very nervous about filling in the I-129 form and didn't want to hire--or...

bjih--thanks again for this advice. I kept refreshing and refreshing, as you said, and finally got an appointment for August in Ottawa, which is what I needed. Cheers!

Thanks for the info! I will stalk the Canadian appointment system! I think you should be fine with the LCA process, let us know how you go.

Another question for folks about getting an E3 at US...

I think you are right and the employer only has to look up the wage on the online ONET directory. My employer was nervous about everything for my initial E3 app and my current renewal...
