I think most people are like me on here and interested in a spike to be honest as once £'s are exchanged we can stop being obsessed with the exchange rate!...

OK, when £ went up to 1.80+ recently it was during a period of heavy selling of AU$ (and stocks and carry trades positions etc.) it was actually triggered by the problems in Greece.

market open 25 mins and £ is up 100 pips up against aussie and aussie down 60 agaisnt USD and Yen.

Oz has always been close to china even when $2+ to the £!

the aussie dollar is still a high risk indexed currency, no getting away from that. things will at some point return to perceived values...
