Yes. That was because the UK had virtually wiped out TB, but TB cases are now on the rise.

Many people work more than 50 hours a week on a fixed wage; no overtime. The UK never signed up to those EU laws and it is easy to waive those "rights".

The minimum wage of £6.19per hour is just under 58 hours a week to make over £18,600pa, not 80 hours a week. If someone just earns £8 an hour, it would be 45 hours a week. As your husband has a shop,...

Single person earning less than about £11,800 per year; can claim working tax credit welfare payments as long as they work...

He can work at more than one job, any job/s, to sponsor you. The minimum wage he would earn is £6.19 per hour. It will be 6 months before he can afford to sponsor you, not a year.

Only if you are employed in the UK. If you are self sufficient (including an EEA who doesn't work while their non EU does) or a student, then you are not allowed free NHS. That's where EEAs are...

I agree, Don's wife came to the UK under the old rules and will remain under the old rules. It's new applicants (from 9th July 2012) that come under the new rules

Spain and the UK are in the EEA and at the moment, have free movement (although Spain is trying to change this).

The Brit's family healthcare is not a problem if they put into the UK's system. Work, pay taxes - put into the country - get help when needed; that is how the system works.

But they could still claim welfare through their UK spouse and (as was we have seen on these forums and others) they did - as soon as they arrived in the UK! Some were even willing to commit benefit...
