Countries are pulling together in terms of banking but not currency they all agree they need to prop there banks but no-1 said anything about currency rates well that was until France said something...

guys the difference is caused by off market (off market in this case being its the weekend) trading that isn't placed into the feeds which flow down stream xe seems to track there own off market...

Just found it Dec 9th but we have a gouv announcement on the 19th and BOC review on the 20th of Nov anyone on the floor got any insight to the expected result of these announcements?

unlikely as they normally take a little bit for themselves BUT if you use someone like www.xe.com and trade over the market it could work out pretty good.

Damn I hope so it was so hard to see it go from 2.05 to 1.93 while I was trying to get a CAD account open. Got 3 months though so may change!

Will end up with more homeless and 272k In july alone foreclosed on causing strain on gov resources requiring more gov spending. What do you do? Perhaps pull out of Iraq OR take over the oil? ;)

Nasty! The collapsing sales are the ones which cause the biggest issue too as they normally leave people worse off than they where when they went into the purchase due to fee's. Good luck to your...

Thats the thing though they dont have to raise rates right now to curb inflation. If they can avert a full blown recession by stimulating the housing market then the rate hike can come at a later...

Yeah 40% is a big hit for a FTB but they will get there incentive from the stamp duty cut the 2nd and 3rd time buyers will get there incentives (maybe) from the lower rates on the lesser LTV'S

Yeah you can get that now but it changes every 60 seconds depending on mid market rate and volume.

Sorry I dont know I use xe.com which allows you to trade online for forward prices set limits and do basic trades. Someone else will help you out with more info on HiFx.

Ok so if you where to go with XE right now a 60 second change now on 10k is at a rate of 1.9795 with mid market being 1.9871.

Very true! However my line was badly worded the dither is more to do with 1st time buyers holding off than sellers not wanting to sell. Lets wait and see.
