You are - as we speak - automatically Italian through blood lines. You just don't have any actual proof of it. A birth doesn't have to be registered by law but it might help further down the line...

If you were born after 1948 you are automatically an Italian citizen. Before 1948 mothers couldn't pass Italian citizenship onto their children, only fathers. Italians pass on citizenship through...

I'm not exactly sure what it is that you are trying to get since you are already an Italian citizen.
Are you wanting to get a certificate to prove your Italian...
