Indeed, but until you know the price of everything you keep doing it. I like Badge's idea, which is not based on exchange rate, in my case the factor is still 2.5.

I'd love to be able to get just plain old black filter coffee. I don't like milk in coffees, never mind froth, cream, marshmallows, cinnamon and syrup, but its near impossible to just get filter...

Prepare for sending back pesents to the UK by buying very small and lightweight gifts for your friends and family. Alternatively, buy them what you wanted to get and hand over the same amount again...

Employ a gardener if you can afford to. It's not so much the work but how to get rid of the garden waste is the problem. You can put it in your normal rubbish bin...

If you buy a car, get the windows tinted as dark as possible. This should cost about $500 but vastly reduces UV risk and saves putiing strange sunshield socks on your windows...and it looks cool.
