This demonstates the problem with the name of the spectrum. Aspergers ain't Autism and hopefully one day they might rename the spectrum to make things clearer. Then hopefully people in your situation...

I don't think ANY diagnosed with autism get better. Some learn to adapt better but fundamenatly they are still the same.

In my opinion the spectum is too wide and encompasses a number of diagnosis which all have their own symptoms. Classic autism, Asperger, PDD, Retts, Childhood disintegrative disorder. Lumping all...

Would also add though, the name ASD doesn't help. Classic autism is a point on that spectrum and the name of a big wide spectrum that...

Its probably nothing to do with nepetism and more to do with them gaining PR before child was diagnosed.

I don't see CIC showing an ignorance of Autism. They just seem to be more realistic of the financial strain on the tax payer, being greater than the alloted $5000 a year.
