This is just going round in circles . The thing is plan all you want but all that matters is the exchange rate at the time you make the exchange to pay for the property. Unless you have enough money...

In theory yes but remember in 2008 within a few months UK interest rates fell from 5% to 0.5% and we started printing money which was main cause of us reaching near parity with Euro. Previously we...

If he did the £ rate wouldn't matter realy it would ensure I for one would be out of the UK, as it would be like staying on the Titanic as it goes down!

No surprises there realy who can afford to lose 1/3 of their income. However not sure that history will always repeat itself? The current fall is no where similar to what happened in 2008 neither is...

It certainly makes a huge difference when the £ is near parity. Although as Fred says people coped yes they did but many did come back and had the housing market not collapsed many more would have...
