Funnily enough, I was just watching Bloomberg and they were talking about the possible UK rate cut and I was wondering how that will affect the CAD exchange rate.

Probably the UK inflation rate numbers....means interest rates won't be cut affecting the exchange rate, I guess?

Yep, but then so is weather forecasting, you can only model so much, the rest depends on what actually happens in the real world.....but if you are educated, qualified & have the right equipment,...

Yes, I agree.

I saw that about MF and also Lehman getting kicked....if fear and greed drive markets, it's definitely fear that is in control just now.

I'm just surprised it has gone on so long...

It would still stuff all the banks for a while if Barclays hit real issues but in the longterm would be ok. And I'm happy to hold for the long-term.....

Is BS really going bust? Or has the Fed managed to rescue it?

I ask as I have lots of a UK bank share and have been pretty calm as it halved in value....but this may be the straw......

Isn't the global daily currency market something of the order of $32 trillion?? I may be an order of magnitude out but it dwarfs the various stock markets for volume...
