We are two streets away from Southland with family as well at the moment. Our new house will be 3 streets away so slightly safer

Ok we are now 6 weeks & 1 day in!

Thought I'd do a summary:

I got a temp IT job after 5 days of arriving.
The OH got a temp planning job after 12 days of arriving.
Transferred all our £'s...

6 weeks in and we have spent all our time 1st looking for work, 2nd working and all other time house hunting. Have had 4 weekends of it now and its doing my head in.

Hey Gail,

There does seem to be a few IT jobs out there. Not many full time ones but I'm told thats the norm over here. I've got a small 2 week contract so far and have my CV posted everywhere...

I will find out myself when I get there I guess but this is the opinion of my OH's family (and believe me its a LARGE family) who all have kids and send them to these schools. They all well educated...
