Re: Cuba

That's interesting.

At a similar price level, flying from Moncton is via Toronto while flying from Halifax involves Montreal and Calgary. Flying Moncton to Boston seems to involve Toronto or...

Re: Cuba

By flight time I meant take off rather than length. You know, a 9.00am flight from Toronto for example would likely mean having to be in Toronto the day before. Possible reverse on the return,...

Re: Cuba

Looks like that adds about $350 plus 1 or 2 nights accom depending on flight times.

So far expedia looks the better bet although I have usually found better overall deals by booking flight and...

Re: Cuba

That's weird. Curious as to why, I googled expedia.ca together with Cuba and a page came up with "all Cuba" as search destination. I put the same details in that I've been using for dates and numbers...

Re: Cuba

Expedia seems to have a better selection/price choice than is available on sites like Sunwing and Westjet but I can't seem to get any results for Cuba on expedia.

Plus Sunwing/Westjet don't seem...

Re: Cuba

I have to say this in the right tone......I wouldn't be going to Mexico though, I'd be going to a sunbed in the sun by a pool with a sea view. It wouldn't matter where it was.

Of course, I'd...

Re: Cuba

Yes...I've since seen a definition of resort to include the hotel and grounds.

Agreed, with the rider that it might not matter. I also don't want all inclusive/meals included as a first choice...

Re: Cuba

I wouldn't even mind that - or even staying in the grounds of the hotel - or is that what you meant by staying on resort? It depends on why you're away.

If it's to travel, see somewhere different,...

Re: Cuba

Yes, I saw your picture after commenting. But there are places like that in Greece too. :(

Ah, gotcha.
I remember in Austria that some fellow Brit guests had brought their own tea bags with...

Re: Cuba

Ah yes...Levis was the recommendation for the old USSR. After hearing about the shortages when I did my Leningrad/Moscow trip I wanted to take a suitcase full of contraceptives and sanitary pads if...

Re: Cuba

I wouldn't mind going but as with other destinations, they always seem to be all inclusive and costly...plus add $300 or $400 to the advertised price.
