I do count myself very lucky and I do feel for those who desperately want to come over and can't/have to wait. I think the rant was more to do with the complete lack of communication than anything...

I have to have a rant.

I applied for skilled PR visa in July 07. When they said it would take 6-12 months to process my application I found another way of getting to Aus. I'm now here on a 457...

I don't think so. I've hunted high and low but as yet can't find the little bugger. I may have turfed it after they said "if it was signed for we have it". I seem to have every other tracking...

There IS always a way. You just need to find it. 136 - you have a skill? Sponsorship? IELTS - extra points?

Luckily for me not having the 136 show up yet isn't 'that' bad. I got into Oz on a 457....

Me for one...:( Documents recieved on 21/7 but as of today 2/11 aboslutely no communication. Don't know even if they have taken payment yet.
