If your wife is Canadian (and she's been living outside Canada with you), then no need to worry - time with her counts as time spent in Canada for PR purposes. You could live outside of Canada...

Ignore the date on the card, that has no relevance at all. When did you actually 'land' to activate PR? Is your spouse a Canadian citizen?

And just to add to Siouxie's excellent advice, just be mindful of the dates and maintaining your PR status - if you've already had PR for a couple of years, and you're not moving for another six...
