Re: MERGED: Spouse Visa Issues with Sheffield +Spouse Visa Chat Thread.

I've asked several times above that everybody puts any questions on a separate thread. This is a long standing general chat thread, which is pretty much obsolete now, so your questions are likely to...

Re: MERGED: Spouse Visa Issues with Sheffield +Spouse Visa Chat Thread.

As above - PLEASE ask any questions in your own separate thread (with a relevant title). They just aren’t likely to be seen on a general chat thread.

Re: MERGED: Spouse Visa Issues with Sheffield +Spouse Visa Chat Thread.

You want new thread, not new post - big brown button at the top left of each forum.

There's also a FAQ (on the blue bar at the top of the page) which will talk you through it.

HTH.

Re: MERGED: Spouse Visa Issues with Sheffield +Spouse Visa Chat Thread.

As above - please start your own thread with any questions, they're just not likely to receive a response tacked on to the end of a general discussion thread.

Thanks.

Re: MERGED: Spouse Visa Issues with Sheffield +Spouse Visa Chat Thread.

Please all, remember this is a general chat/moaning about the HO thread - any questions you have should be asked in your own threads rather than tacked on to the end of this one, where they may well...

Re: MERGED: Spouse Visa Issues with Sheffield +Spouse Visa Chat Thread.

Guess you missed the bit where I said I was playing devils's advocate.

Your info on US marriage based visas seems very out of date btw (K-3 visa, who even uses that route anymore?!?).

Re: MERGED: Spouse Visa Issues with Sheffield +Spouse Visa Chat Thread.

1) No other country that I know of does visa interviews for spousal applicants, as BiP said it's a tick box exercise, either you meet the requirements or you don't, there's no leeway so not sure what...

Re: MERGED: Spouse Visa Issues with Sheffield +Spouse Visa Chat Thread.

Hi, as has been pointed out to you previously, it’s not a similar case. You were refused due to suspected fraud, that’s entirely different.

But please don’t ask other members for their personal...

Re: MERGED: Spouse Visa Issues with Sheffield +Spouse Visa Chat Thread.

 Other countries take a year or more to process spousal visas. Believe it or not, the UK is actually quite quick in comparison to most.

Re: MERGED: Spouse Visa Issues with Sheffield +Spouse Visa Chat Thread.

A NSF email is saying exactly that - that your application is more complex so will take longer. The reason for that delay will be unknown to anybody on the forum, it could be that you are from a high...

Re: MERGED: Spouse Visa Issues with Sheffield +Spouse Visa Chat Thread.

Can I suggest you start a new thread with your specific situation i.e. earnings and savings? This thread is only for chat, questions may not be seen or responded to on it.

Thx.

Re: MERGED: Spouse Visa Issues with Sheffield +Spouse Visa Chat Thread.

Who are you asking? Please use the quote button so people know who you’re responding to.

There is a timeline thread that would be worth searching too, most people have posted their timelines on...

Re: MERGED: Spouse Visa Issues with Sheffield +Spouse Visa Chat Thread.

As above, that won't work as it can't be self-employed income.

You need a second salaried job.

Re: MERGED: Spouse Visa Issues with Sheffield +Spouse Visa Chat Thread.

It won’t be fine if you’re only earning £18,000, the minimum is £18,600 so you’re simply not eligible to sponsor unless you’ve been earning that amount for 6 months. So you’ll need a second job (or a...

Re: MERGED: Spouse Visa Issues with Sheffield +Spouse Visa Chat Thread.

Who are you asking? You've quoted yourself! If it was Godshild, they haven't been on the forum for 4 months, so are unlikely to see your question.

Not sure if you saw BiP's questions to you...

Re: MERGED: Spouse Visa Issues with Sheffield +Spouse Visa Chat Thread.

If you search the forum you'll find lots have received it. It seems to essentially mean your background checks need longer (usually because you're from a high fraud country, or your app is a bit more...

Re: MERGED: Spouse Visa Issues with Sheffield +Spouse Visa Chat Thread.

They do process them in order, but of course each application takes a different amount of time. It could be something as simple the applicant having the same name as somebody on a watch list...

Re: MERGED: Spouse Visa Issues with Sheffield +Spouse Visa Chat Thread.

Not sure who this is in response to? If you could use the 'quote' button so people know who you are talking to, and also so they are more likely to see your response, that would be helpful, thx.

Re: MERGED: Spouse Visa Issues with Sheffield +Spouse Visa Chat Thread.

Yes, you have to pay for an email response. But why do you need to contact them? As said above, with being in the UK illegally for so long your application is going to take longer, so there's not a...

Re: MERGED: Spouse Visa Issues with Sheffield +Spouse Visa Chat Thread.

Re: MERGED: Spouse Visa Issues with Sheffield +Spouse Visa Chat Thread.

You'd be amazed at the amount of forged documents out there. On a daily basis, us mods have to get rid of threads advertising fake IELTS certs, marriage certificates, birth certificates, passports...

Re: MERGED: Spouse Visa Issues with Sheffield +Spouse Visa Chat Thread.

Re: MERGED: Spouse Visa Issues with Sheffield +Spouse Visa Chat Thread.

One thing you've not mentioned is where your spouse is from? High fraud countries such as Nigeria or India tend to have longer processing times, so that is a factor.
