I don't think anybody said it was bad English - but it is written a certain way which would lead most (correctly, as it turns out) to assume the OP is from India or Pakistan.

It's not racist to simply make an assumption about where a poster is from. No derogatory comments were made about Pakistani or Indian forum members, a guess as to the OP being from one of those...
