very weak Cat 1, crossed the coast around 5.30am, lots of rain, bit of wind..... I'd like to wish all the senior staff in Qld Govt a Merry Christmas - in fact I was tempted to put it on the cyclone...

As at 9pm - still a Tropical Low, location - 230km ENE of Cairns (near Holmes Reef 16.3S, 147.9E . Pressure - 998hPa

Mmmm wouldn't like to place bets this far out. The rain thats expected (which might come ashore as a trpoical low or worse) will be much higher up, in Bowen/Mackay type area, but heavy falls are...
