you'll get a slightly better rate if you exchange a large sum with them but a standard Canadian bank will still rape you on the rate. Better to go with a trading account like HiFX or Moneycorps who...

We don't have anything like that - not set in stone anyway, and yes most banks in Canada have been conservative with their lending but I heard on the grapevine that a couple of the big 5 are starting...

BTW have emailed wealth management and hopefully will have a "how to do it" scenario for the transfer of the PP to RRSP for you. :thumbup:

Just had a word with our branch manager (who has oodles of experience) and she advised that it would be best to speak to a financial planner or wealth management specialist that your bank should...

We started off with the dreams etc when it was at 2.35! We haven't sold our house yet so are not too worried but ya know what.........

We are moving there for the lifestyle and less pressure and...

I am so glad that we haven't sold the house yet, and luckily for the sake of working thigs out in my head costwise for when we go in October I just use 2 to 1 so not overly worried there.

just joined and reading with interest, we have been checking the exchange rate pretty much daily (well about 15 times a day!) its the first thing we do in the morning and last at night. Every cent up...
