Unless you agreed to be put on unpaid leave you should leave the US now.

Gotcha.

So being that that E-3 isn't "dual intent", am I violating this clause by marrying and then attempting adjust status?

Especially so soon after entry on new E-3. < 1 month.

I spoke to the Department of Labor and they informed me that we, as E3 visa holders, are bound by the same set of labor laws as the H1-B and to talk to the DOL for the particular state I work in.

I'm just struggling to find anyone the KNOWS the rules, as opposed to saying "I think they're something like the H1-B" or "huh?"
