You can only contribute to an RRSP if you are tax resident in Canada. You become tax resident in Canada if you establish residential ties here that are stronger ties that to any other country.

I can't think of any great tax consequences. In Canada you will pay tax on UK pensions just as you will on Canadian ones. There is a difference depending on the type of pension it is. A UK final...

One good reason to transfer is to minimize exchange rate risk. If you are sure you are going to retire in Canada it is better to get your funds into Canadian dollars as this is the currency you will...
