Good advice this. Not only do you need theory and practice in childrens nursing, but also obs/psych/community. Also make sure that you get a good med/surg mix. I know a general nurse who did not have...

They will still need nurses then, no worries there.

You should get a couple of years experience after you qualify though. Employers have to demonstrate that they have advertised a post and cannot...
