The positive spin is that the strong dollar is forcing prices down, many people are buying cars in the U.S and are saving thousands of dollars.

I would suggest a basket of currencies, the dynamics are such that you can spread your risk, but if you are 100% residant of Canada, just buy the Canadian dollar.

Canada is the best place to have your money invested right now, the Sub Prime is yet to hit but will not affect Canada to any extent, except we will be able to buy Florida properties a lot cheaper.

Those wishing to hedge their currency may buy ETF's in various currencies trading under the series FXC, FXA etc , a bet on the further decline of the Greenback.
