Indeed... but whereas some children may be spanked with no obvious harm caused, there is reportedly a growing body of evidence (which I have seen/heard references to, but not personally studied)...

I have absolutely no doubt that verbal and emotional abuse can be as damaging (or in some cases more so) as physical abuse. This was a thread about physical chastisement... not abuse per se as...
