Re: tax office. The comune, bank, Inps, just about everybody notifies the tax office. Does mean you will owe them anything.

If I remember correctly, dual Italian nationals living in Italy have to use Italian law.

The tax office will want proof of your relationship with your parents. That would need to be done via...

Yes, the first €1,000, 000 is untaxed at the moment, but they must be declared.

I'd get a bank account in joint names. From experience, tackling banks even with a power of attorney can be very frustrating.
