You also have to take into account the length of time needed for a degree here - 5 yrs plus, for many UNIs, attack you least 6 months for the preparation of your thesis.

Turin cost us €3000 a year plus registration, exam, diploma fees etc. You name it and there was an extra fee for it. Cheaper than the UK, yes, but wages as way lower here.

Why not? Son number 1 got through Uni on bursaries for merit. He work damned hard to qualify.

Turin Poly, where son 2 went certainly isn't free! But at least there where no books written by...

Why should she need an excuse? A school trip should be educational and aimed at the whole class. Just how many families have overalls, waterproof boots in their wardrobes? Let alone clothes that...

Exactly. Most of their so called 'taxes' are actually a voluntary contribution.

While I wouldn't need to see an invoice. The school should be able to outline what the money is spent on! IMO

Do some googling to see what you actually need to pay.:sneaky:

I'd ask what the 'free' contribution is for before deciding. You never know, it could be for loo rolls.:lol:

Not really the school's fault. It's a tax and yes, its annual. Then there are the exam taxes...... It should only be €15/20 and it is deductible. Any more and it's voluntary.:sneaky:

I'd say, give him a few months to get into Italian first (I presume you are on about reading and writing). He should be reading by Xmas and quite competent (for his age) by the end of the year. ...
