That's right, my husband is not Australian. He is French and Israeli.
I'm afraid to wait for the E3 since I have already overstayed and I don't know whether I will find a new job tomorrow or in two...

Thank you Aviezer. My husband's company has started a process of obtaining an E1 visa for him yesterday. I hope it works out. It is actually similar to the E3, you can have a spouse as a dependent....
