I would tell them to quote for each then nearer the time you will know if you need a 40ft or a 20ft and you will have a rough idea of the cost as I am sure that if you leave it too late and they end...

Have they told you the reason for the price hike in December? I would either pin them down to a quote that covers the price rise - am sure that they know how much they are raising by as most...

Dont see why they cant give you a quote before hand, they must know how much it costs for a 20ft or 40ft container from your location to your destination - after all they do it on a frequent basis...
