The brother of a workmate was in that position, and had to have an Aus. police check, but I'm afraid I've no idea of the procedure - if you put the dates and visa number on the application, I'm sure...

We used our accountant, who isn't an Aus, they understand that it isn't possible here so the sort of rules you would use for a Brit passport apply

You need to look at the info about cats in Oz - they tend to have to be on a curfew as they can decimate the local wildlife. Cats are a much rarer pet in Oz than here, and are often 'house cats'...

The number you need is the one on the back of the certificate - don't know why - but they will change it for you if you've got the wrong one on the form (as Sir had)

Well mine just came as a sheet of paper saying they had no knowledge of me (as in I'd never been arrested) there was no question of me not being able to see it.

Wait for the police checks - you don't send off the medicals, the doctor does - and he wont let you see it before he sends it!!!!!!

To get Sir's passport - he is an Aus Citizen by decent. The take a ticket system is only for passports, you only go for visa's if asked to come for an interview, by appointment.
