Also, im sure Karen (oh) wants to go out to work too, she can't sit still for 5mins.. Best if she does get a job or the old "homesick" problems will really creep in. :)

Thanks Lexylou. ;) Im sure we can budget as in reality i take home more like £2.300 a month. It's like people say though, it's no good scrimping to the extreme where the quality of life in NZ is...

When i look at it like that it equates to something like £26k. I ern double that now in the uk..

Holy crap, Im looking at a $70k wage !. Im sure people survive ok on this..
Your wage seems a goodern compared to what ive been told a comfortable will cost as per wages. :blink:

Lardyl, thats a fair point, it's hard for us at the moment to put all the outgoing etc together, its a real eye opener, tbh which i need, when most people say they are left with not much dollar at...

Yeah, will be something on them lines.. All the open plan stuff we like seem to have the sink etc like that, Karen likes them so.... As long as she can reach the sink im ok with that..:lol::blink: ...

We are going out with about $350k so it will depend on what we see really. Id like no morgage, as would most, but there is always that place that ets you hooked eh!.....

Ok, thanks mate, 100k was the most we was going to need, so not that bad then.. I should have a company car too, so that will help. My oh loves a bargin, as most women do, so im sure she will budget...

So looking at the semmingly high cost of stuff, would this have put you off before you came?. Im looking at a wage of around the 70-75k mark.. Do you think we will strugle on this?..
