Don't know what our dobermann will think of the snow - he's never seen 'proper' snow before. Just as well he's a tall fella - if he was a little chap he'd have to...

Cheers TrishB, going by your experience, I would say that keeping them in at night would be the safest option then - that's what we'll do.

Thanks, a very valid point, our lot is about 1/2 a mile out of Fort Macleod.

We have a dobermann already & plan to get two more after we have moved out. So hopefully that may keep the coyotes...

My Cousin who lives in Fort Macleod has told me how their 3 cats become 'house cats' for the winter months, so i'm guessing maybe ours will do the same - i'll probably encourage them to do so.
