Teaching in the Oz system I have to say that the academic level is certainly lower here than in the UK, by about a year in secondary science I'd say. However there students do start school a year...

Good luck to your son- just get him to do loads of practice tests in exam conditions so he doesn't get too stressed on the day and he should be fine it's often nerves that make students perform worse...

We've been out here since sat (stongly reccomend singapore air by the way great service and they didn't charge us for our vast amounts of excess...
