The best thing for forex traders to do in the meantime is to open large positions in the GBP’s main crosses. These include the GBP/USD, GBP/AUD and EUR/GBP....

There will be CGs if you become a UK resident and bring your money over to the UK at a later date and stronger dollar rate, than on the day you became a UK resident.

In this case you would pay CG...

US, UK, China etc are all big on devaluation. I can see GBP stagnating $1.40AUD by 2011. I may have to put off my move back for a year or so. The points lost on forward contracts are staggering AUD...

I'm moving back early next year. Moved here a couple of years ago and exchanged at $2.50.
Stand to make over 100k pounds by moving back. This combined with the impending next leg down in the UK...
