As the only requirement is to pass Life in UK there is no income requirement

I read them fully and responded to the document and actually they have turned much as expected, in fact the income levels are less than many had predicted

You can not apply more than 3 months before you plan to settle.
If under the current rules you are issued a visa for 27 Months it is suggested you travel within the first 3 months of the validity so...
