Not been on BE for ages (work, life etc) but a huge CONGRATUALTIONS to all with visa grants :)

OH and I are still trying to agree that we should validate even though he has got ice block feet over...

Can only speak for our own visa (136 non-MODL)....we got a VISA grant letter from OZ which explained that we had to send our passports off to an address in London to get the VISAs stuck in them.

Passports just arrived back with the lovely red and yellow visa stuck in them :) I got them sent to work address and our administrator opened them (as she opens all post) and asked me if I was off...

OH is having second thoughts - but we will either go this summer to validate or will head out there between Christmas and New Year 2008 on a more permanent basis :)

Thanks again to everyone who has posted.

Feeling a lot better about it now - when visa arrives we can validate & have a much needed holiday at same time. I think you are right TOO much OZ input...

Thanks for your kind messages.

I don't know why OH doesn't want to go - I think everything is very stresful at work and he can't even think about it to be honest. It hasn't helped that everytime...

Just a quick update (no time for BE at the moment and am having withdrawl symptoms).

Application signed for on the 26th July.
File reference number received, CO assigned and Meds and PCC...

We got a request for our meds and police checks at the begining of december - we hadn't bothered checking cos we didn't think we would hear anything till the new year!

Our application was lodged on thursday 26th July and we recieved an email on thursday 18th October - I make that exactly 12 weeks!!

Have you heard anything yet? When did you lodge...

Hooray.......finally got our Pre-ack exactly 12 weeks after our application arrived.

It said we would probably have to wait 12 weeks before a Co is assigned - but I don't care...

Is anyone out there applying for a 136 NON MODL? I have had a look at the July Applicants sheet and there seems to be a few, I just wondered if there were anymore.

Yeah I now how you feel, would love to try QLD but not too great with high humidity so have opted for Perth at first (a week in Miami was about the most I could handle - didn't like that...

I'm glad i'm not the only one stressing about the pre-ack. ;)

It seems that we are all in the same boat, there doen't seem to be any pattern for the pre-ack of MODL and non-MODL 136 applications...
