With regards to the currency markets how does one get oneself unaddicted to checking the rate??? :confused::rofl:

And HIFX are pretty quick!

After ringing Lloyds TSB yesterday to verify that I am the bank account holder and it is my money (well mine and the husbands!) in the account they finally transferred...

Well we had to go for it and managed to get a rate just above 2 - but only just! :ohmy: Oh well it's done now and hopefully the money will be here this week ready for us to buy our house.

Will there be any news coming from the Bank of Canada this week - rate cuts etc? Just that we need to sort out getting a rate and exchanging our funds this week really and I wondered if there was...

$2.05 on the BBC website this morning despite the price of oil going back up! Go figure.

Yes please!

Especially as it looks like we could be buying a house soon! The one saving grace is that it is currently tenanted and in BC you have to give them 60 days notice to move out - come one...

We have put in a realistic offer but the pillock seller won't budge on his price and as we want to move to a small village which happens to have not very much on the market at the moment he thinks he...

Hifx have got it at 2.00 and Yahoo and Moneycorp have it at 2.02. I know it's a bit of an unknown but does anyone think it'll go higher? :confused: We've just booked our flights for next Wednesday so...
