Some models will have different weak spots to others, for example some models of explorers are more likely to rust aroind the filler caps than other models.

Regular washing and waxing goes a long way to protecting your car. I'll as OHs opinion on undercoating when he gets home. The stuff they spray on the roads could be beet juice.
