Driving will only reduce when people are given viable options. Kelowna has lots of condos being built, but transit is piss poor so people still drive everywhere aside from certain areas of Vancouver,...

I think distance is more at play in Canada than anything else, and in denser urban areas more apartment and condo dwellers each year and difficulty in charging when renting or living in...

I could see them adding a tax to electric bills for those with a registered electric vehicle, and adding a tax to public charging stations.

It's a fairly large chunk of money various gas taxes.

Governments that rely on gas tax revenue for things like transit, and roads will certainly need to find alternatives.

How do electrics perform if sitting on the street in -10 or -20 or -30 all night?

Just curious how extreme temperatures (even on the hot side, but cold is more relevant to Canada) affect their...

I shall look into that. Never crossed my mind it could be something faulty like a sensor. I also never did the math to figure the MPG, onto to google to figure out what a MAF sensor is.

$80 doesn't seem so bad for that, our Mazda 2 costs around $60 but can only make it maybe 250-300km in typical day to day driving, I got it up to 350km though almost on the US interstate 5 on my way...

This is what electric charging map shows for my city, not many options. Now Kelowna across the lake has more, but I am not driving 30 minutes each way to charge a car.

The BC Hydro location...

Only time will tell, its a wait and see game, but politicians in Canada like to push things into the future as they know they wont be in office when the poop hits the fan and it will be someone...
