The biggest I can think of is Salton Sea about 60 miles away by car.

They seem to be using a few choppers, makes more sense, lots of golf courses around a chopper can fill up with water. Fixed...

I have always wondered how they respond fairly quickly, I can't really find info on how it all works, the Cal Fire website it looks like there are 3 agencies working on it CAL FIRE, Riverside County...

We have gotten a bit worse, PM2.5 (1h): 292.1 µg/m3 last reading at 4pm on the provincial website.

RE smoke and long term issues, a brief article below.

Vancouver area seems to be improving a bit.

Our area further east is showing 248.5 on your link, Castlegar comes in the worst it seems in BC still at 463.8 but Castlegar is way far east and south...

Some parts of BC are 400+ on the air quality range since yesterday, if its this bad here without actual fires, I can only imagine how bad the air is where there are fires.

They most likely will, as far as I can tell fireworks are illegal in the city they were in, so they already were breaking the law it appears just having fireworks.

I know not directly California fire related, but still on the western coast of North America, Washington state has 13 fires currently burning, over 300,000 acres burned alone yesterday, the winds...
