Many UK companies offer private healthcare insurance to their employees now...mine did 30 years ago. Maybe it's not necessary but it is an alternative for those who are concerned about their...

Depends how he uses it. If he has an ear infection, hay fever, flu, sprains his ankle etc...the yes. If it's for a routine prostrate exam etc...then no.

Patient Assistance Program (PAP) it's for those who have no or very limited income, insurance etc. Most pharma companies offer this service but it has to go through a doctor.

Many, many people who work in the UK have private medical insurance through their employers. This is a small fraction of the cost of healthcare insurance here...the standard is also much better...

I have said many times we have received excellent medical care since living in the US. That said we are lucky we have excellent medical insurance and can afford the co-pays. Those that don't...
