Either that or the insurance company changes the tier of the medication so they cover less of the cost.

I've used one for for my wife's medication, it just reduces your co-pay, usually up to a maximum amount. I think it takes my wife's co-pay from $30 to $3 a month. The reason the manufacturer does it...
