Re: Teatime Choices

I had canned sockeye for lunch the other day. Got a few dozen jars left from last year so I'm having it once or twice a week at the moment.

Re: Teatime Choices

I was slightly jealous when I read that. I just had pizza, which was good, but not as good as Oinks list tastes in my imagination.

Re: Teatime Choices

Re: Teatime Choices

Yeah, you are probably right. But drunk me always reaches for the ketchup first. Probably because it's the obvious big red bottle whereas the mustard jar is small, fiddly and hidden at the back of...

Re: Teatime Choices

The best time to have a pork pie is when coming home from the pub a bit pissed. Especially if you dip the pieces into ketchup like some kind of navvy.

Re: Teatime Choices

Nothing wrong with bananas and custard.

I never really had school dinners. Usually we'd nip down the chippy and have battered sausage and chips. Or maybe onion rings if we had an extra 10p

Re: Teatime Choices

Tonight it's tuna nicoise salad (now down to my last few tins of anchovies).

(as an aside, this thread was easier to find with google than the BE search function - it's the number one result!)

Re: Teatime Choices

Not had that in a while now. We had sockeye; I fried it and we ate it with some veggies. The salmon here is rather good isn't it?

Re: Teatime Choices

Re: Teatime Choices

Tonight I'm having turkey fried rice. I'm adapting my recipe for chicken fried rice - it's a bit of a radical change, so I hope it works out.

Re: Teatime Choices

Yeah, the naan's we have aren't the best. On occasion we go to the save-on-foods just over in mission and they have a big south asian section. Maybe I'll look in there to see if they have that...
