Property prices went up over 3% in the UK - last MONTH!

I'm sure more people will be buying second homes in Spain as a result - when will it stop?

I have to disagree - I think Spain is a good place to buy property but if it's based on UK v Spain for investment - the winner has to be UK.

When times are harder people sell their holiday homes...

I agree with you for now - but - Bank of England raised rates today - I reckon we need to wait 6 months and then see if these rate increases have had an effect by then - it does take time for them...

Hate to agree with these comments but I've also been hearing from estate agents that things have picked up in this area recently - this coincides nicely with the trend in the UK where house prices...

Interesting to see the UK interest rates go up (unexpectedly) today by .25% and also the Euro Bank raised rates (expected) by .25%

I wonder if this might have an effect in the next few months....

Agreed - around here (Costa Blanca) the only people buying villas are Brits, low interest rates around the world are responsible for a huge fuelling of property prices, sooner or later the rates must...

That's what I've always thought to myself - that most people buying in Spain were paying with cash or mostly cash. Many people have sold in the UK and made such a lot with their sale that they don't...

Exactly why I moved to Costa Blanca - why would anyone move to Costa del Sol now when the Costa Blanca is less developed, cheaper and as scenic if not more so?

I think so but then only slightly - no crash (yet) - they certainly haven't gone up at all so the rampant growth has at least slowed down which I think is a good thing because it only leads to greed...
