Re: What's wrong with Canada?

You have a very valid point there about the beer snob type people who think their opinions are held by many people.

Re: What's wrong with Canada?

Probably not the first and last fib that they would tell you at Labatt's...

Did they tell you that Canadians prefer bland lager with little in the way of discernible taste and that they know best...

Re: What's wrong with Canada?

Appropriate plate.....I'm sure it would get lots of stares on a hot summer evening in Canada, cruising down the 'strip' in a small town.

Re: What's wrong with Canada?

You probably won't want to intermingle with the general Canadian riff raff then...they often mix up the 'come' and the 'came'...another one that bothers me is when people say for example 'I seen that...

Re: What's wrong with Canada?

I've never had to resort to one of those places..... a sure sign you are in the back of beyond.

I assume that in the beer section they have Blue, Ex, Canadian, Molson Dry, Coors Light, and other...

Re: What's wrong with Canada?

Are you a 'bitter' ex-CAMRA member. I've run into those sorts in pubs in the UK and they can be rather like train spotters in their obsessiveness in regards to beer, ABV, IBU values etc.

Here is...

Re: What's wrong with Canada?

Stella is a bland example of eurolager..it does sell in truckloads and it has been marketed to people here as a high end lager.

Re: What's wrong with Canada?

CAMRA would have drawn and quartered if you dared mentioned 'beer' and 'lager' in the same sentence.

Re: What's wrong with Canada?

Many Canadians when visiting the UK complain that soft drinks are often served too warm....things like this are swings and roundabouts IMHO.

Are you inferring that there is no small town political...

Re: What's wrong with Canada?

Good luck in your move back to the UK...I hope you find the bacon that is missing in Canada. That is a new one in defining what you don't like about Canada.

Re: What's wrong with Canada?

Yes, I must admit I'd forgotten Regents Park (and I assume that Jane/Finch and Thorncliffe Park would also count). All of these 3 areas are rather high density housing and not the detached home...

Re: What's wrong with Canada?

Re: What's wrong with Canada?

Would you care to name some 'ghettos' that have formed in immigrant enclaves in Canada. I can't think of any myself based on my knowledge of Toronto, Ottawa and Montreal to the...

Re: What's wrong with Canada?
