Those are not reasons why the £ should rise against the euro. The reasons are that the fundementals are wrong for the £ and right for the euro at the moment if it stays like that the pound will...

Caxton FX and if you sign up they will send you an email each day. All the FX websites have exchange rates listed every day.

Just got my daily email from CFX and last nights close was 1.3392

By online I mean from my bank in stirling to the FX dealer, once I have transferred the correct amount (took six days last time) They send it all down to Spain in less than 24hrs. We check all this...

With all three of our FX providors we do everything online except for getting the initial exchange quote and speaking to someone for that gives us the chance to haggle for a better...

BaydonHill is the new name for Curriencies 4 Less. No special box in Spain and some local tax collectors get too enthusiastic if you include this on the Modelo 214 and push you into a higher tax Band.

Government Pensions (GP) ie Civil Service, Military, some Teachers, Police, Local Government etc but not National Health Service are under the double taxation treaty normally taxed in UK...

Both your state pension and your civil service, teacher, local government pension can be paid direct by the providor into a Portuguese bank account in Euro at a very good exchange rate...
