This was an issue I was faced with. I am a chartered accountant and before we went to Sydney I was earning around £100k plus bonus as a senior manager in London for one of the big 4 accountancy...

A senior manager in one of the large accountancy firms in Sydney/Melbourne currently earns $130,000 to $160,000 per year. However, family life is expected to be given up in return.
