Re: Traveling cheaply and well using miles and points

I use Delta Vacations and bundle the flight tickets and car rental into a package. The Audi with CDW cost me $153 for 15 days.

Most of the airlines do package deals, as does Expedia.

Re: Traveling cheaply and well using miles and points

Re: Traveling cheaply and well using miles and points

I tend to value UR points at 1c as that is what I can exchange them for against Amazon purchases. 1.5c if used to purchase travel from Chase, but I find they inflate the prices they charge against...

Re: Traveling cheaply and well using miles and points

I have 155,330 United points

Mrs L has 135,000 United points.

United have an offer to buy points and get a bonus. I can buy 73,000 miles for $2,746.63 and get a bonus of another 73,000, which...

Re: Traveling cheaply and well using miles and points

Thomas Cook and Condor are owned by the same company. TC flies to UK, Condor is based in Germany and links to LH flights. TC was originally a package holiday charter company. They fit in between low...

Re: Traveling cheaply and well using miles and points

Just had an email from UPS to say cards come tomorrow. I am having a tooth implant done Thursday morning. That is just over 50% of the 4k. I shall suffer thinking about the bonus points it is helping...

Re: Traveling cheaply and well using miles and points

Tonrob,

If you have Chase Ultimate Rewards earned through one card and then get a second Ultimate Rewards card. Is that two separate rewards accounts, or do the rewards pool in one account?

Re: Traveling cheaply and well using miles and points

Very similar to Delta who now base the miles you earn on how much you spend, not the flight distance. Also Delta doesn't publish how many miles you need for free flights. You have to search online...
